Statistics with R for the BEF-China project
Welcome to the BEF-China R course held by Karin Nadrowski.

This workshop is held exclusively for students of the BEF-China project. Location is Halle. The workshop starts on Monday, 23.2.09, 13:00 in Halle, Botanical Garden, Am Kirchtor 1, and lasts until Thursday evening.
We will be exploring the data collected during the field-stays in 2008 and 2009. Here you find the course scripts and literature, which may be interesting.
"Course_contents_BEF_v2.doc" includes an overview of the four days with summaries of the 12 short talks I will give. Each talk will take 15 minutes and the remaining 45 minutes of an hour can be spent practicing with R and your own data. The file further includes installation instructions for R and editors.
"Codelist_kn_fk.doc" includes a commented list of important R-commands from different packages.
The "Course_script_BEF.zip" includes all the R code shown in during the course.
"CrawleySplusWordDocuments.zip" contains Word files and data sets of an old version of the R-Book of Crawley. Very good introduction to R for ecologists.
"Bolker2007Rmodels.pdf" is more advanced introduction to ecological modelling using R.
"spatstat_workshop.pdf" is an excellent introduction to "spatstat", the package used for spatial analysis of point patterns.
Ggobi is a fascinating tool to visualize and analyze multivariate pattern.
Carsten Dormann und Ingolf Kühn pflegen ein deutsch-sprachiges Buch zur angewandten Statistitik mit R.
