  Remarks:
  • The total surface-atmosphere flux is given by the sum of the 4 flux variables (i.e., there is no double counting among these 4 variables).
    However, co2flux_excl is zero throughout the period of validity.
  • Positive co2flux = CO2 release to the atmosphere,
    negative co2flux = CO2 uptake.
  • The time of any flux record denotes the mid of the daily interval.
  • The NetCDF file only contains the period of validity (i.e., spin-up and spin-down years have been discarded).
  • For converting the flux unit from ``per grid cell'' into ``per m2'', divide by dxyp (rather than by area).
