Research Interests

Currently I am working in the Terrestrial Biosphere Modelling Group of Sönke Zaehle. My main task is to set up the mesocosm experiment within the QUINCY project and keep it running properly. Furthermore I am still part of the Soil Biogeochemistry Group of Marion Schrumpf where I have been working since 2006 in different projects.

Past Work

mapping tasks

  • risk assessment of landslide in area surrounding the city of Jena (Project Page)
  • mapping spatial and temporal distribution of landslides in an alpine lake in South Tirol (Project Page)
  • assessment of karstic phenomenom and its implications in Southern Thuringia (Diploma Thesis, Info Page)
  • mapping of soil properties, types and C/N of 32 european ecosystem observation sites (Project Page)
  • mapping of physical and chemical soil properties for MANIP

field and greenhouse experiments

  • conception and set up of the QUASOM field experiment including custom made automated soil respiration measurements system
  • conception and setup of mesocosm experiment in order to measure above- and belowground plant respiration discretely
