Research Interests:

My research interest lies in biosphere-atmosphere interactions and how they influence the carbon- and water cycle. The identification of relevant biogeochemical processes and their drivers in semi-arid ecosystems by means of eddy covariance, remote- and proximal sensing methods, plays here a major role. Further interests are the spatial heterogeneity of water and carbon dynamics from small scales to landscape scales. I analyze time-series and spectral properties of eddy covariance data and combine those with various ancillary measurements and remote sensing data.
