The aim of my thesis is to model the influence of air pollution, especially tropospheric ozone and anthropogenic nitrogen deposition on the terrestrial carbon and nitrogen cycling. I plan on including the effects of ozone on plant primary production (carbon sequestration) and transpiration into the terrestrial biosphere model OCN (the carbon-nitrogen cycle version of the ORCHIDEE model).
