Focus:

Science communination for two project coordinated at the MPI-BGC: ATTO - Amazon Tall Tower Observatory and 14Constraint. As webmaster and public relations officer I lead internal and external communication efforts for these two projects. Specifically, I want to assist the researchers from different institutes and countries in sharing information, data etc, provide project-external scientists with information on the teams and their scientific achievements and inform the general public about the projects and their significance.

Curriculum Vitae:

Having studied Geology and gained a PhD in paleoclimatology, I have a solid background in Earth Sciences. I then joined a communications agency to train in public relations and science communication. With these combined skills I have now returned to my home town of Jena and the institute I first visited as a high school intern many years ago, to support my research colleagues in their communication and public relations efforts.

• 2016-2018: Public relations trainee and the Junior PR Consultant at KOMPAKTMEDIEN Agentur fur Kommunikation in Berlin, focused on the "Year of Science 2016*17 - Seas and Oceans" initiative of the German Federal Ministry of Science and Education
• 2015-2016: Post-doctoral research fellow at the Lamont-Doherty-Earth-Oberservatory of Columbia University in New York, working on reconstructing oceanic PH during the Eocene
• 2011-2014: Doctoral candidate at the Goethe-University Frankfurt/Main, reconstruction changes in deep ocean temperatur, ecology and cirulation during the Eocene and Miocene
• 2005-2011: University degree (equ. MS) in Geology at the Friedrich-Schiller-University, Jena
