(PhD)-project

Development of per-operational mesoscale inverse modelling system for quantification of GHGs source and sink

Having been a PhD researcher at the MPI-BGC Signals, I am conducting a PhD project within the the Research Project of VERIFY (funded by the European Commission, H2020). The goal is to quantify CO2 flux budgets over Europe at continental and national scales based on independent verification using Top-down method for penultimate years (i.e. current - 1). For doing so, I use The Jena Carboscope Regional inversion system (Rödenbeck, 2005) to optimize the Net Ecosystem Exchaneg (NEE) obtained from terrestrial biosphere models so as to estimate the total budget of CO2 fluxes.

Research interests

  • Regional inversion system for quantifying CO2 sources and sinks in the mesoscales
  • Atmospheric transport simulations using regional and global models
  • Inverse modelling systems of atmospheric CO2 sources and sinks quantification
  • Numerical modelling of the atmospheric differential equations
  • Climate projections based on understanding biosphere-atmosphere carbon cycle interactions
  • The Troposphere retrievals using satellite remote sensing monitoring
  • DATA processing using statisticcal programming
