Bureau of Meteorology: Australia's weather, climate and water agency

The Bureau of Meteorology (the Bureau) is Australia's weather, climate and water agency. Its expertise and services assist Australians in dealing with the harsh realities of their natural environment, including drought, floods, fires, storms, tsunami and tropical cyclones. It provides regular forecasts, warnings, monitoring and advice about climate change spanning the Australian region and Antarctic territory.

The talk on 'Australian Bureau of Meteorology's continental approach to hydroclimate modelling and applications" provides an overview of the Bureau's newly formed hydrological science sections including continental scale modelling and applications capability. The talk invites discussions for opportunities to collaborate between both organisations with a particular interest for carbon and nutrient modelling including plant-soil-atmosphere feedbacks.
