Main Focus

My research mainly focuses on how microbial processes regulate soil carbon cycling. Specifically, I aim to disentangle how microbes with different evolutionary strategies respond and adapt to environmental and climate change, and how these responses reshape species interactions and community-level functions, thereby affecting SOC decomposition and stabilization.

  • Taxon-specific microbial traits, microbial life history strategy
  • Cross-trophic interactions within soil micro-food webs
  • DNA-qSIP, 18O-CUE, MCP framework
  • Microbial co-occurrence and metabolic complementarity networks
  • Bioinformatics, 16S/ITS/18S metabarcording, metagenomics, genomics
