Main Focus
My main research interest lies in understanding how land use impacts and is impacted by climate change, especially the resulting rise of climate extremes. Hence, in my PhD I am researching how the diversity of our landscape modulates ecosystem resilience under climate extremes, i.e. can landscape diversity buffer extreme events to enhance an ecosystem's stability and to what extend? To answer the emerging questions of this topic I aim to use a diversity of Earth Observation data products to quantify landscape diversity and ecosystem.
