Current Research
"Role of surface and sub-surface soil moisture for vegetation functioning."
I explore how vegetation functioning correlates with the surface and deep soil moisture: (1) across different climatic regimes and vegetation types spatially and how (2) correlations change during dry months temporally.
Past Research
1. "Temporal scale dependent sensitivity analysis of surface water-groundwater interactions."
For a
simple model of head response in a semi-infinite aquifer due to hydro peaking, I
analyze the sensitivity of parameters in different temporal scales. For this, I
first decompose the time series of head response into different temporal scales
using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT). Then, I perform a global sensitivity analysis
to rank sensitive parameters on each temporal scale.
2. Student Research Assistant, Chair of Hydrology and River Basin Management, Technical University of Munich
I build
the 1-D hydraulic model of the Ouémé
river in Benin, Africa, and the Naryn river in Kyrgyzstan, Central Asia. Then I perform hazard
analysis for the floods of different return periods.
