Farewell, you beautiful forest? German forest in climate change between wish and reality

As part of the "Salon Sophie Charlotte" of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, Dr. Henrik Hartmann talks about the general situation of the forest and explains basic mechanisms that lead to the death of trees during climate extremes. He then addresses the societal discourse on forests in Germany and shows how science and society can develop strategies to shape the forest of the future.
