March for Science on Earth Day
April 21, 2017

On April 22 "Earth Day" is commemorated internationally and this year the “March for Science” will happen at the same time. Awareness of consumer behavior, the threat of environmental pollution and climate change are the topics of Earth Day campaigns. Together with the initiative of the “March for Science” the focus is on the vital role science plays in our daily life.

To point to the relevance of science, notably Earth system science, the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry supports both initiatives.
