Workshop BIOMASS Secondary Mission Products November 25, 2021 The project BIOMASS is an initiative of the Max-Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry, the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research and the Department for Remote Sensing at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. Funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology the project aims to build up a user community and to share relevant information on the ESA Earth Explorer mission BIOMASS. ESA's seventh Earth Explorer, the BIOMASS mission, will provide important information about the land biosphere, in particular the state of our forests, in the context of the global carbon cycle. The mission is expeted to be launched in 2023. The third virtual workshop on “BIOMASS Secondary Mission Products” wil take place on November 25, 2021. It is jointly organized with with our project partner, Kostas Papathanassiou fom the German Aerospace Center. |
