BGC IT-Service-Group: ENABLING RESEARCH
The task of the IT-Service-Group is to contribute to the BGC-Mission through the development of skills in technical analysis, design, procurement, implementation, operation and support of IT-infrastructure and services in an efficient and effective way. There are no excellent scientific results without the assistance of a superb and modern IT-service.
"ENABLING RESEARCH" has been fostering a creative environment of "diversity of ideas" in the field of scientific computing for many years.
ENABLING RESEARCH - 1:
- We operate a diverse and rapidly changing IT-system that performs consistently and reliably for our users according to their scientific requirements.
ENABLING RESEARCH - 2:
- Research at the frontline of Biogeochemistry always implies the need for deploying innovative systems of various origins as well as for application of prototypes and cross-platform-setups of hardware and software.
ENABLING RESEARCH - 3:
- Our network is divided, according to organizational and security-related aspects, into several areas that ensure optimal protection along with the greatest possible freedom.
