The objective of the workshop "Build Your Presence: Create your own personal academic website" is to introduce researchers to the basics of building a personal, academic website.

The 3-hour workshop begins with a brief presentation (~30 minutes) on the importance of personal branding and how a well-crafted website can enhance academic visibility and professional opportunities. Participants will then be provided with a ready-to-use website template and guided step-by-step through the process of customizing and hosting it via GitHub, with open working time for hands-on support (~2.5 hours). No prior web development experience is required, though basic coding knowledge is helpful.

To inspire discussion, participants are encouraged to submit an example of a personal (e.g., non-institutional) academic website that they admire. These examples will be shared with the group during the workshop to inspire the further development and customisation of their own webpages.
