The Biogeochemistry Model Database BGC-MD

This site constains a collection of C cycle models implemented using symbolic mathematics. The models are originally collected in Yaml files with all equations and parameters that describe a model, and then are processed by a python software tool that creates automatic reports for each model.

Use the links below to explore the models currently in the database. We split the models between: vegetation models, soil models, and ecosystem models. The vegetation models currently implemented focus on describing the process of C allocation among vegetation parts. The soil models focus on the process of soil organic matter decomposition. The ecosystem models are not implemented yet, but they will include a combination of both vegetation and soil models.
