Main Focus
My research interests focus on the carbon cycle, mainly methane emissions from an atmospheric perspective. My major focus is on assimilate methane atmospheric observations into atmospheric transport models in an inverse mode to estimate global and regional methane budgets.
Currently I am working with the Jena Carboscope Global Inversion System in the Arctic region.
Research interest
- Biogeochemical cycles
- Atmospheric transport model
- Atmospheric observations
- Methane and carbon cycle
Previous expertise in Biogeochemical Cycles
I had over ten years of experience in methane and carbon dioxide cycles in Tropical forests, mainly in the Amazonia region and the link with climate change and human disturbances. Contributing to elucidate how Amazonia is impacting the global carbon and methane budgets, and climate change feedbacks. With estimates based on unique long-term measurements of the greenhouse gas levels of the lower troposphere over this region, and atmospheric transport inverse modelling and Mass Balance Technique to estimate fluxes.
