International Workshop on the Design of an Ecological Observatory System for Colombia

  • Beginn: 21.11.2016
  • Ende: 25.11.2016
  • Ort: Medellín, Colombia
  • Gastgeber: Miguel Mahecha
During a 5-day workshop in Medellín, Colombia, project participants will meet to identify data streams, computer models, and other resources necessary for the implementation of an ecological observatory system that facilitates scientific research. One key objective would be to quantify essential climate variables ECVs and essential biodiversity variables EBVs. In addition, other components of ecosystem functioning such as land-atmosphere interactions will be addressed within the context of the observatory network. We expect at the end of the workshop to have not only the list of the main data and computation resources, but also a long-term plan for funding and implementation of the observaroty system. [mehr]
