Data and Software

Data products, online services and open software

Below, find a couple of published and unpublished tools, services and data products from the Department of Biogeochemical Integration. These tools are available online or upon request from the respective contact person. These products are free for non-commercial use if not mentioned otherwise. For data products we only ask for personal contact (an automatic registration is on the way) to be able to track use of the data, and provide updates and further information via a e-mail to users.

Site level estimates of GPP and TER from FLUXNET eddy covariance stations

This data set is derived from the LaThuile-2007-FLUXNET data set as documented at according to the new algorithm by Lasslop et al. (2010). Site data is freely available after authorization by the respective site PI.

Gitta Lasslop, Markus Reichstein

Average annual global GPP

This is a data set of global annual GPP at 0.5° lat/lon resolution as published in Beer et al. (2010). It is based on empirical up-scaling of FLUXNET data from the La-Thuile-2007 synthesis effort (www.fluxdata.org), and the median of several scaling approaches.

Christian Beer, Markus Reichstein

Monthly estimates of global evapotranspiration

This is a data set of up-scaled monthly global Evapotranspiration at 0.5° lat/lon resolution from 1982 to 2008 as published in Jung et al. (2010). It is based on empirical up-scaling of FLUXNET data from the La-Thuile-2007 synthesis effort (www.fluxdata.org).

Martin Jung, Markus Reichstein

Monthly estimates of other global biosphere-atmosphere fluxes

These are data sets of up-scaled monthly global carbon, energy and water fluxes at 0.5° lat/lon resolution from 1982 to 2008, currently unpublished. It is based on empirical up-scaling of FLUXNET data from the La-Thuile-2007 synthesis effort (www.fluxdata.org).

R based Online eddy covariance processing tool(URL: Services/REddyProcWeb) see note below

Comments: The new tool implements the same standardized methods of Reichstein et al. (2005) in  R.
