Main Focus

Composition, distribution, and changing states of plants within and among ecosystems. Interaction between plants and their environment and how these interactions can make changes from local to Global scales.

Outreach activity

  • TV interviews with the regional press (MDR Thüringen) and national press (ZDF-nano); “Alte Wälder atmen besser; Die Stabilität eines Waldes zeigt sich an den Werten für die Aufnahme von CO2: Je älter der Wald ist, desto besser hält er Klimaschwankungen stand. Das fanden Forscher im Thüringer Nationalpark Hainich heraus.“
