Scientific Advisory Board
The Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), consisting of internationally recognised scientists, regularly evaluates the institute's scientific activities and reports to the president of the Max Planck Society.
Evaluation
The institute prepares a status report as a written basis for the advisory board visit. In addition to facts and figures on employees, the staffing plan, finances and resources, it contains the current status of ongoing and planned research projects.
During the visit to the institute, the SAB is informed about the research and the working conditions. The SAB discusses with the institute's management, the various research and service groups, junior researchers and non-scientific employees.
The Scientific Advisory Board reports to the president and makes recommendations for future activities.
