Dr. Susanne Tautenhahn (she/her)
Main Focus
Functional macroecologist translating crowd-sensed plant data into ecosystem insight. I integrate bioindication, plant functional traits, and large-scale observational data to understand biodiversity and ecosystem functioning across environmental gradients. I coordinate FloraFlux, which links automated plant identification at flux-tower sites with ecosystem research.
Research Focus
-
FloraFlux – Community initiative linking plant data with biodiversity–ecosystem functioning at eddy-covariance sites link
-
Urban and agricultural systems – Environmental gradients and ecosystem processes in human-modified landscapes
-
Crowd-sensed bio-indication and traits – Plant observations for novel environmental sensing and ecosystem analyses
