Deep interest in advancing carbon cycle on land and in the ocean. Expertise in quantitative modeling of aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. Following topics are of special interest to me:
- Riverine exports of biogeochemical compounds and their fates in the ocean
- Nutrient cycling in permafrost ecosystems and impacts on greenhouse gases, especially N2O
- Compound extreme events for ecosystems
