Corona pandemic leads to record decline in global CO2 emissions
The new assessment of the Global Carbon Project, in which Sönke Zaehle and Christian Rödenbeck from the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry in Jena are involved, shows an unprecedented decrease in fossil CO2 emissions for the year 2020. However, the atmospheric CO2 concentration continues to rise.
