Renewal of electrical installations and expansion of the Internet infrastructure of the ATTO project
During the last business trip to the ATTO site in the Amazon, several technical and infrastructural tasks were successfully completed. The initial focus was on finding and determining the location for the new IGAPO tower, including the planning and preparation for Hella chamber measurements. At the same time, a suitable location for the future ‘Tal Eddy Tower’ was identified.
Another focus was on improving the technical infrastructure: an internet connection via the Mimosa system was installed on the 80-metre-high tower, which significantly improved data transmission and communication.
In addition, electrical boxes were installed on the main ATTO tower to support new measurement systems. A rain gauge was installed on the INSTANT tower and rain gutters were installed on the wooden walkway to C4 to collect water samples.
