Thirty years of "Global Biogeochemical Cycles“

6. Dezember 2017
Prof. Susan Trumbore, managing director at Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry and outgoing editor in chief of the journal „Global Biogeochemical Cycles“ published by the American Geophysical Union (AGU), gives a résumé over the past 30 years since the first edition of the journal. In 1987 the world population exceeded 5 billion and first scientific evidences of global warming were discussed. Since then much has changed not only in the interdisciplinary science field of biogeochemistry but also in the landscape of its related publications.
